This young man should have been taken better care of and protected by whomever took him to the zoo. I remeber learning of a case of a young man with schizophrenia jumping into a lions section of a zoo. Cant recall where. But obviously he had a mental health issue . So sad. RIP. And I hope the tiger is not put down.

So sad for this man’s family & for him losing his life. He clearly had no real understanding of danger. Vulnerable people need 2-1 carers to stop this from happening. I can’t imagine watching this, it must have been absolutely horrendous for the kids around. I hope the tiger is ok, too.

He's not some cocky asshole who got what was coming to him. You can see he is signing bad/naughty to the tiger in Makaton, which is a simplified sign language designed for people with intellectual disability. He clearly had no understanding of the danger until it was too late, and most likely his carer never even considered he was capable of jumping into the enclosure. This is a very sad situation and tragic for the family.

Broski hopped that fence and expected a tiger not to injure him and kill him 🙄 he’s dead now but he’s done that at his own risk. I’m all for he’s mentally unstable but surely others shouldn’t have allowed him to hop that fence . Don’t mess with nature. RIP

that young man should never have been able to get in he clearly has disability's , maybe he got free of site of his carer there is no real safe barriers from what i can see of the park not enough staff , some of you should be ashamed of your comments i hope the tiger isn't punished either ,appauling lack of empathy people have today is soul destroying

As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I care for my daughter 24/7 and never let her out of my sight. Our children need us to be their eyes, ears, and minds. We are here to help them live the best lives possible for as long as we are alive. Leaving this boy alone was criminal. I don’t know whether he was under someone’s supervision or whether he was there completely alone, but the whole situation is truly heartbreaking. Watching this has made me even more determined to remain vigilant. Why did people just stand there without making any noise or doing anything to distract the tiger? For God’s sake, at least try to give this boy a chance!
