To be honest I don't think the Wallabies got carried away I think the Wallabies media got carried away
You guys came in too damn confident 😂😂😂
A hard task winning at Eden Park. Kudos to the Ozzy fans who came across to support thier team. Wallabies still a solid team that can play ball
The problem started when Australia read too much into the win against the Springboks, who made 13 changes, some of those were coming back from injury and others were being given a chance to play for a spot in the starting team. Then, you bought into the hype that you won the Boks with ONLY 11 men. Welcome back to earth guys.
Yes, the Wallabies fans (and the media) were on a massive high after the win over the Springboks in Perth last month. Many proclaimed them as having beaten the world champions but a key factor was overlooked. South Africa basically fielded a second-rate team with the starting XV featuring 13 players who had not had a competitive game in more than a month. They lacked cohesion, not to mention match practice, and Wallabies fans who got carried away with the narrow win in Perth understandably expected the All Blacks to be tested. However they were brought back to earth with a resounding thump on Saturday as NZ crushed Australia.
The problem is getting rid of Dave Rennie as coach way to early. He had to deal with so many injuries in his Tenure but you could see what he was building. Before he could get his full squad back from injuries, ARU shaft him and bring in that potato Eddie Jones for the world cup?!? There are 9-10 guys from that squad Rennie was building that played the AB's at Eden Park, just missing Jordan Petaia (back from France), Hunter Paisami (suspension) and a couple of others which could be because they didnt make the cut. Rennie is definitely an opportunity that the ARU messed up.
You guys thought by beating the Boks C team, you can beat the All Blacks A team..lol.
Im a kiwi and im seeing good bones and plenty of skill in this Australian side , being under dogs at home this week and next year may see them play their own style , lm looking forward to it.
I'm 42, soon to be 43. I was in high school the last time we won the Bledisloe. The possibility of winning one now doesn't even register in the consciousness anymore 😩😩
every all black team that plays at eden park "not on our watch"
As a kiwi i wil ALWAYS support wallabies over SA. I dont care how good or bad the wallabies play...we are ANZACS , we are literally family and i want nothing more than to see Aus Rugby grow again....DONT LOOSE HOPE AUSSIES...KIA KAHA
Jordie is smashing and hurting players like never before.
As a Springbok supporter, I can see why you're enjoying the current debate! 😄 That said, rugby has a funny way of humbling everyone eventually. The Wallabies have had a very difficult period over the last few years, including their group-stage exit at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Australia are rebuilding under new coaching structures and investing heavily ahead of hosting the 2027 Rugby World Cup. The All Blacks and Springboks have consistently set the benchmark recently, particularly in forward dominance, game management, and squad depth. When Australia get drawn into the traditional "we're back" headlines after a few good results, a reality check against New Zealand or South Africa often exposes the gap that still exists. The old rugby saying remains true: "Stay humble in victory and gracious in defeat." If we're being honest: South Africa currently have the deepest pack and arguably the best squad depth in world rugby. New Zealand remain the benchmark for skill execution, accuracy, and ability to punish mistakes. Australia have exciting talent, but they're still some way behind the Springboks and All Blacks in consistency over an entire season. The RGR Series tells the real story. One big win can create headlines, but beating the Springboks and All Blacks consistently home and away is what separates contenders from genuine world-beaters. And as Springbok fans know better than anyone, the moment you start believing your own hype, the rugby gods tend to remind you who's boss! 🇿🇦🏉
Congratulations to the All Blacks. So glad that the All Blacks didn't let all the negative talk get to them. Playing a Wallabies team riding a wave of confidence, in a high pressure game. So happy to see the All Blacks play with confidence and belief the whole way through. High pressure. Good work ABs 😊
Abs were hurt after the Boks and it showed. What surprised me was how quickly OZ tired in the 2nd half....1st half was close but oz defence was passive in 2nd half....expect a big turn around this week.
who is sooahhlee?
The Wallaby drift defense gives the ABs time to play whereas the Boks are always offside with their blitz D which disrupts the AB attack.
Gave up too much ball on first or second phase, seemingly an unwillingness to take the ball into physical contact or recycle the ball from rucks. Defense was non-existent at times too and Australia's aerial weakness was exposed. Henry is 100kg and won't run the ball straight 😐 Additionally a half dozen All Blacks had career best performances this game.
Harry is stronger in the contact this year. The biggest question used to be he was easy to tackle. Now he is making metres after contact and hard to put down. Much improved!
There was clearly a mix up between Suaalii and Wright over that high ball.
