Part 2 Convo w/ the Directors of Good Help - A feature length documentary in Denver Film Festival📱

In this special episode of Friends From Work, Al Jackson and Tory Shulman sit down with the directors of Good Help, Rebekah Henderson and Lilah Park, to talk about their new feature documentary and the story behind its creation. “When thousands of Venezuelan migrants arrive in Denver without housing or legal permission to work, local women step in to help. As the crisis deepens, their efforts raise difficult questions about generosity, power, accountability, and what it really means to provide ‘good help.’” 🎬 WATCH THE TRAILER: https://youtu.be/b_w237kGrxU 🎬 SUPPORT THE FILM: https://www.pledge.to/good-help 🎟️ SCREENINGS & CREATIVE CONVERSATION WORLD PREMIERE Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m. Holiday Theater Tickets & Event Information: https://denverfilmfestival.eventive.org/schedule/6ab3fb5be9e2f4537578f6c5 SECOND SCREENING Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. Sie Film Center Tickets & Event Information: https://denverfilmfestival.eventive.org/schedule/6ab58507deaad7ab19e938f8 CREATIVE CONVERSATION: WHEN THE BUSES ARRIVED Tuesday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. Tattered Cover Colfax Moderated by Al Jackson Event Details: https://denverfilmfestival.eventive.org/schedule/6ab43386b5f48378163ec80a 📲 FOLLOW GOOD HELP: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/goodhelpthefilm/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61592985417033 ❤️ ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT HOPE HAS NO BORDERS Provides asylum application support and employment programs, rooted in Denver’s grassroots response to arriving migrants. https://hopehasnoborders.org COLORADO IMMIGRANT RIGHTS COALITION (CIRC) Organizes statewide for immigrant rights through advocacy, community education, and leadership development. https://coloradoimmigrant.org CASA DE PAZ Welcomes people released from immigration detention in Aurora and helps them reconnect with loved ones. https://www.casadepazcolorado.org ROCKY MOUNTAIN IMMIGRANT ADVOCACY NETWORK (RMIAN) Provides free immigration legal and social services for immigrant children and detained adults. https://www.rmian.org IMMIGRANT FREEDOM FUND Pays immigration bonds to help people leave ICE detention in Aurora while their cases proceed. https://www.immigrantfreedomfund.org PROJECT WORTHMORE Supports Colorado’s refugee communities through programs that help newcomers build their lives and connections here. https://projectworthmore.org SPRING INSTITUTE Offers English classes, career support, and help navigating healthcare, schools, transportation, and public benefits. https://springinstitute.org CENTRO DE LOS TRABAJADORES Formerly Centro Humanitario.
