Easiest way to learn this is to just forget about it. You'll learn it naturally in like the first 5 minutes. It's literally impossible to get out of your driveway without knowing how to steer the bike.

Counter steering initiates lean. Once the required lean is achieved you do need to turn the handle bars in the direction you want to go.

I read about countersteering after I had been riding motorcycles for over 20 years. Though I had been doing it for all that time, for almost a year after that my cornering was somewhat clumsy as my thinking about what I was doing got in the way of what I had been doing intuitively. Now, I just ride again, and do so far more safely than when I was thinking about it.

You don’t do it consciously, it’s just physics

after riding for a long time. You start messing around with your body if it's tilting your head gently or swinging your hips, messing with micromaneuvers and weight distribution and to be honest it's quite entertaining😂

Im a 5'2" female, 125 lbs, Riding on my XT250.. gravel road in the mountains, topped a blind knoll at 40mph, to an immediate Rt hand hairpin turn. I stood on rt peg, held it 3" off the gravel & held that turn on "OH, SHIT INSTINCTS"! My BF ended up in the woods on his bike.. upright though! Lol

Leaning your body is a way to turn without actually adding lean angle, when it rains I exaggerate body lean to limit lean angle and reduce risk

not about learning you'll learn it automatically everyone else just says you go right to go left that doesnt make sense nor it ever will this is the most clearest way of explaining what that thing is i was actually quite pissed that everyone makes it so complex

This is more like a fun fact than something you have to remember. Your body will learn how to steer in a few minutes on a bike
