Jeffrey, Gelsey and Mishel spend much of their lives caring for others — as parents, providers and a nurse. But all three are struggling with exhaustion. Jeffrey battles dangerous drowsiness while driving and irritability at home. Gelsey juggles work and family after a previous bout of burnout. And Mishel’s rotating hospital shifts leave her fighting her own body clock. Guided by digital medicine expert Professor Dean Ho, they begin examining how sleep, exercise and nutrition are affecting their recovery. Their own data reveals some unexpected patterns, prompting small changes — from cutting screen time and rethinking intense workouts to eating and sleeping differently. Can these three caregivers find the energy to look after themselves as well as everyone who depends on them? Don't try this. There was a time for almost ten years I worked as a permanent night shift in the office and looked after my four daughters in the days where my wife was working full time from 9 to 5. Some of my daughters are just infants and one in nursery. Of course I suffered from lack of sleeps and at time when I bring my daughter to nursery and with 3 daughters in toll, I was just a walking zombie. I was sleeping and walking at same time. I sometimes feel my head spinning and I was on the verge of collapsing. Luckily I survived and my daughters are now grown up and working.
the guy works out for 3 hours 😂 sure doesn't look like it. probably a quiet place for him to doom scroll while sitting on the bench press
Thank you, CNA!!! I'm a nurse, and I really enjoy watching your show. It's a great learning experience for me! Thanks so much!
Jeffrey may wanna consider getting checked out for obstructive sleep apnea
there's something wrong if he's working out 3 hrs each session.
I hope the professor took into account that some of these women may be in perimenopause, causing fluctuations in their hormones affecting their sleep.
Why 3 child's that's just increase burden stick with 1 child is good for both health and wealth
i feel tired just looking at the show. I have 2 young kids and nowhere as tired as these people.
The problem in Singapore is hardworking is more rewarded than smart work..,
Im a night shift nurse. I sing w the window down and have a bit of water on my forehead and i tap my own head. I get stuck in traffic for over 1 hour driving home after work at 730. Ive never fallen asleep stuck in traffic. Hope this helps.
One of the takeaway is to make available proper meals for the nurses / doctors / essential workers during their night shifts.
When I was younger I definitely pushed my body beyond over and over. Worked weird nightshift hours. Never got a decent sleep at 6 am in the morning, because that's when everyone else, including the roosters start to come to life. Gave me a lifetime of chronic fatigue. Some chapters of life you have to push yourself. However you pay for it later in life
This is an insightful series, hope cNA would consider more series with Prof Dean sharing his expertise.
That's why i uninstall tiktok, instagram. Avoid doom scrolling late at night 😂
3 hours per session, 4 times a week, and he still doesn’t even look like he gyms. Bro must be spending more time scrolling his phone between sets than actually working out.
I hate shifts that change. My nurse job is this way. Its hard to have healthy eating and workout when your shift changes .
you can go bed earlier but doesnt mean you will sleep within minutes or even an hour
And here I am….watching this at 2:20AM reclaiming my “me time” 😅
The Z monster, is your body screaming for a rest❤
I like Celsy, very motherly and supportive ❤❤❤❤
