That’s true about memberships that’s why I skip all the ads. They want us to subscribe when we watch the vlogs, like and comment and we do. Now all the good stuff goes on memberships and if you can’t afford membership you are left out so ads money doesn’t count in my view. I only watch ads on channels that don’t have memberships

Stopped watching some of my faves because of this. If I wanted to listen to a podcast I would🫠 also we don’t have money for all these memberships 👀 imagine how many R30 we would have to pay 🥺

I honestly love Mmaneo's vlogs because she is a few of those ones who still do their nails,hair and lashes herself and i get to learn and doesn't keep getting 500 skin products and foundations saying its her favorite one😢. Also her fashion video are so good. Her videos feels like watching a friend nje and she doesn't talk too much or force content, she repeats cloths futhi ❤❤ I just cant get enough of her in this influencer consumption era we are in.

Sometimes it's just about liking someone. I have been following a US mommy vlogger for years going the same stuff. Picking up her kids, cleaning, cooking and I still jump when her notification comes on. There's something comforting in routine, sameness

When they have paid sponsorships, they post on the main channel while reserving all the juicy vlogs on membership. I’ve unsubscribed from all those with a paywall and I skip all their paid work on all platforms.
