My son studies here in the UAE. He was in a Philippine school curriculum here before, and I saw how he suffered for 2 years. Like every week, there were exams: Mastery, Quarterly, etc. Plus a mountain of projects, research, and activities. Since he is always at the top of the class, we tried applying for scholarships to IB schools. Luckily, he passed, and we got offers from 3 major schools. Now, he is attending an IB school, and I noticed that he is more relaxed, but still studious. IB curriculum has fewer exams, but more emphasis on research and reading. At the end of the day, I know how mothers suffer when they see their kids having a hard time; we cannot do anything but pray for them.

Pero sana, kahit high standard ang South Korean education system, huwag niyang i pressure ang self niya to excel too much. Maapektuhan ang mental health niya 😞 And factor din sa pagod and stress niya yung overtime na nag aaral siya sa study cafe or dyan sa bahay 😞
