When I hear “candy business” —I understand that as people MAKING candy—not BAGGING candy. This is weird to me.
So dangerous to say nut-free and gluten-free and then handle the food like that. I have no trust that they're doing it safely.
I’m so confused how it took two people without a job other than TikTok to have to “delay their dream” for over a year to resell bulk candy 😂💆🏼♀️
I feel like they just walked in and were like “what’s our fav candy”, rather than doing research to figure out what their customers would want
When she repackages the candy into the ‘aesthetic’ boxes, how can she keep track of the expiration dates, does she rotate stock. It’s a little willy nilly to be taken seriously 🥴
As a Canadian, we have a bulk/wholesale store called Bulk Barn where we can buy spices, baking supplies, pasta, candy, chocolate, etc. The prices for candy there are typically around $7.50/lb CAD (which is about $5.26/lb USD). I would personally never buy candy from a business like theirs when I could drive 10 minutes to a Bulk Barn and buy whatever candy I want for a fraction of the price. They definitely need to think more about how realistic this idea is to succeed, especially in the Canadian market when the price of living is already insane 🫠
There are so many things to be touched on with all this, but I was watching her dump all the candy into cheap plastic containers and couldn't help but wonder if they're keeping any kind of track of expiration dates and lot numbers...
The thing that really irked me about the warehouse video is that there was ZERO plan?! Just strolling in the aisles and chosing on a whim? That's not how you decide what to sell!
Grew up in the same city as these clowns. They’ve always been weird. She’s always been so incredibly defensive and argumentative. Crazy to see where they’ve ended up lol
No hair net? No mask? 💀
I think she probably makes way more money from her content about the candy business than she will ever make from actual candy sales..
Honestly, I find it to be out-of-touch, low effort, and entitled. The prices are outrageous in a world where people are struggling to feed their families. Then on top of that, they are just re-selling and banking on their audience to buy it. That's irritating to me. They can't make their own candy, or at least work with a supplier to get stuff that is customized to their brand and audience to make it special. They are literally grabbing candy off the shelf and asking you to pay them more for it because they're famous. Eww.
why would you even need to open the candy bags to pour in display cases if it's an online store. These people just want the visuals of a candy store.
I honestly don't think the candy business is the goal here. What I see is she is in it for the content of it all. Look at the colorful candy wall and the way she is filming herself stocking and packing orders. It almost reminds me of the lucky scoop videos setup. I won't be surprised if she has a second tiktok for restocking content.
24:43 highly doubting that gluten free candy will be celiac friendly though based on how their packing and cross-contamination proclivities
As a business owner, i have never shared how much my orders cost to my customers. The prices are available online, if a customer would like to check, they could, but I dont post how I’ve just spent x dollar amount, I find it tacky and a way to justify prices that dont match the value offered. Edit: Typos
You just know their kids are sneaking into this room to pinch some candy while getting their grubby, little hands all over it 🤮
Not washing the containers is crazyyy!! I’ll rinse out my clean cups just because they’ve been sitting in my cabinet lol. To not wash containers that came straight from a packing facility ewwww and then selling the candy that’s in the them to public
I was wondering why they were making candy in a room that doesn't have a sink until I saw they were just reselling. But they should still have a sink to wash out those jars and properly clean up around food items. Especially with the risk of cross contamination.
13:06 “look what we just found.” This tells me they had no idea what they wanted to sell. Because huh.
