Okay, so what I think the situation is: Sam's (ex?)wife had an affair around the time the daughter was concieved. At some point, a DNA test was done that showed results that Sam was not the daughter's biological father, so they thought the daughter was the result of the affair, and that's how Sam found out about the affair. At some point, the (ex?)wife told the daughter that she was an affair baby. HOWEVER, at some point more recently, it was found out that the DNA results that said Sam was not the biological father were wrong somehow, so Sam found out that he WAS his daughter's biological father, and the (ex?)wife was pissed that her affair was revealed because of a mistake. The question submitted was Sam asking how he should tell his daughter that he was, in fact, her biological father after she had already come to terms with the fact that he wasn't.
