1st round, place 5 decoys together very clearly. Alex will have a look and see that it is decoys. 2nd round remove one decoy and place yourself there, Alex has already looked there so you should be safe.
My first thought was "I hope somebody will just walk through the gate and hide outside". Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

My plan: hide the decoys in places you would hide. Keep changing places every round.
I don’t understand why people kept taping the arrows in front of/on top of things. Wasn’t the whole point to tape the arrows behind/below things, to make it look like a person could be hidden? The tape arrows were supposed to be decoys for the headband arrow……..

Since Alex has 2 minutes to search can't you just run for 10 minutes while hiding to a spot and then hide there? Alex only has 2 minutes so even if he'd ran he still wouldn't be able to find them. Right?

Easy solution, just hide more than 2 minutes on foot away from the hut. He’ll have to turn back before finding you. Like just walk/jog for the 10min and “hide”

I think, it would be more interesting, if the scoring was done not by time, but by the amount of arrows, that confused Alex. I mean, in current format it is just the hide and seek task from series 4, but with addittional arrow clue to Alex.
My question is did Richard ask to keep all his arrows? Is his whole house devoted to props?
I would jog for three minutes in one direction - Since the seeker has only two minutes to seek - then a requirement to return back to a point - anywhere more then two minutes away is safe
