What does the “i” in iPhone stand for? #tech #apple #iphone

The lowercase "i" in Apple products primarily stands for Internet, a meaning established by Steve Jobs during the 1998 launch of the iMac to highlight the device's built-in connectivity one would assume the I in iPhone also stands for internet considering that's the first cell phone that allowed you to have a good web browser like you would have on a laptop where you can watch videos and stuff my phones before that you could access the internet but you had no video support

did people not know this?! I thought it was widely known that the “I” stands for Internet..

I thought it meant the "I" as in "you", to express that the iPhone is meant to represent your identity and is tailored for you and "I".

I thought it would be something like innovate

I always thought it was something "personal". Like, its for me, so "i" ... iMac (a personal device), iPhone (personal device)

“Well we gotta go all the way back” Just tell me the answer twin 😭✌️🥀

And steve jobs was right, apple products now are the best in the class because of the silicon chips (except for price)

who’s freaking out exactly? i know it’s a joke/just his intro, i just wrote this for phone

innovation would be a good shout

Means nothing it just sounds good and just recognizable

nowadays it stands for intelligence

Carterpcs style + Parker Burton voice

This is also why the Apple Watch or Apple TV aren't called iTV or iWatch and didn't come with apple stickers.

Internet bringing the internet to a phone

I thought the i meant it was my own phone

so.. “internet Phone” and for more others

Two things: No one on X is freaking out on that thread and Google is free.
