[IPHONE DUO DISPLAY DEEP DIVE] I'm fairly accustomed to spending time with cutting-edge pieces of technology; a much rarer treat is getting the opportunity to talk with the people who brought that tech into existence. During the Apple Event in Cupertino back in September, I got to sit down with three such people: VP of iPhone Product Design, Rich Dinh; Senior Product Manager for iPhone, Piyush Pratik; and JP Guillou, Senior Director of Display Technology for iPhone. During our 20-minute sit down, we delved into every corner of the iPhone Duo's display technology. How much Samsung had to do with it; how Apple achieved its unusually dramatic satin finish; and how and why the company brought back the under-display camera. I also got some insights into how the execs enjoy their pizza (but not, sadly, whether they'd build an iPhone Flip or an iPhone TriFold next). Join me for a rare MrMobile interview – and stay tuned for my iPhone Duo Review coming soon! [ABOUT MRMOBILE'S IPHONE DUO DISPLAY DEEP DIVE] MrMobile's iPhone Duo Display Deep Dive was filmed on-site at Apple HQ in Cupertino California during the September 2026 Apple Event. Love the hard questions.. mentioning competitors several times in front of them is something i haven’t seen a lot of tech reviewers do.. This was just great!
Well it's official, Michael Fisher is NOT invited to the next Apple foldable event😂😂😂
Dude, the fact that you pulled this interview off with the schedule we had.. Wow.. Respect. Love this!
Wikipedia editors are ready to use this video as a source lol.
Never answering a freaking question these guys
The way they all pause at the last question that was imposed on them is so hilarious. I can only imagine what was in their head then.
Absolutely love hearing from manufacturer engineers speak even if they obviously have to speak with a PR filter. It is so cool to hear their points on things and you can see their passion shine through at points.
No joke, this is by far the most technical and candid interview I’ve ever seen Apple give. Well done.
I think the fact that they wouldn't answer the flip vs trifold question shows just how strict their corporate overlords are. It seems like they are not allowed to say anything outside of very narrow guidelines. Not allowed to utter the name Samsung, not allowed to express a personal preference, not allowed to discuss the possibility of future products.
Seeing JP light up when you mentioned the CGP Grey video on the A4 standard of paper is the same way I reacted. That was such a good video from him
Michael for the love of God it's 2AM in Europe have some mercy for us.
This is exactly why Mr. Fisher will always be my favorite reviewer. His personality is unmatched. He’s just a normal guy who asks all the questions I would’ve asked, with zero corporate talk. An absolute legend. Never change, Michael. Stay mobile!
always funny to see apple pr squirm when literally any other businesses name is brought up
You asked basically every question that every YouTube nerd was thinking about, and you did it on the front foot. This is the most watchable press interview, along with the ones from Joanna 🥂
Mr Mobile asked question directly about Samsung, Apple responded without taking the name of Samsung.
Apple’s PR training genuinely needs to be studied if it’s not already 😂 18:33
Yeaah they're never doing this with you again 😂 Hats off anyway !
6:47 holy non answer. Guy probably had the same PR training that Cook did cause that in no way answers the original question
You asked some fair but difficult questions. They squirmed a bit. Good stuff.
Not many techtuber have the balls to ask tough questions like this. Awesome interview
