This is one of the reasons I really don’t enjoy Kyekyeku’s acting in general. I feel this is something he tends to do regardless of the character he is portraying. He often comes across as someone who sees nothing wrong with his actions, even when the situation calls for remorse, guilt, or some form of inner conflict. I believe every human being has a conscience that guides them. Even when we do something wrong, deep down, we usually know it is wrong, regardless of how hard we try to justify our actions. This is a movie that is supposed to teach people a lesson, especially about the consequences of killing your own brother. So, when you play a character who has committed such an act, you should be able to portray some remorse, guilt, or inner conflict. That is how the audience understands the gravity of the character’s actions and learns from the mistake being portrayed. But with Kyekyeku’s character, it feels as though he believes he has done absolutely nothing wrong. There is no real sense of guilt or remorse, and that takes away from the moral lesson the story is supposed to communicate. If you study AKA’s acting closely, you will notice that whenever his character is caught doing something wrong, he often shows remorse. Even when he later tries to act tough, you can interpret it as an attempt to hide his shame or cover up his guilt. That makes the character feel more human and believable. For me, that is an important part of acting in a story with a moral lesson. It is not enough to show someone doing something wrong; the audience should also see the emotional consequences of those actions. Otherwise, what exactly are viewers supposed to learn from the character’s behaviour? That is where I feel Kyekyeku falls short as an actor. In my opinion, he often misses the opportunity to show the emotional depth that would make his characters more believable and the lessons in the stories more impactful. Of course, some characters are deliberately written to be unremorseful, but even then, the portrayal needs enough depth to make the audience understand the character’s mindset.
Kyekyeku is goated ngl.
