When u go to a Korean home with no gift

As someone who moved to Korea two years ago. This is VERY true. Always bring some tea, fruit, or anything that is consumable amongst friends.

Korean home logic is “gatekeep till you have something to keep”

In my country (Pakistan) it's opposite especially when the visitor from a different city/province/country. Host makes delicious meals and are very generous. Guests can/do bring gifts sometimes but it's not necessary usually host is not expecting anything.
