You've reached the end
Suggestion from retired interior designer; if you paint the dark blue picture rail that is near the ceiling , the background color of the wallpaper, it will make the walls appear taller. Easy job. β€
Loving the wavy hair, so much nicer than straight in my humble opinion! Suits you!
Your red kitchen looks faboulos. 20 years ago i ordered my kitchen in a dark burgundy. Everyone told me not do so, they were afraid iβd like to change it after a few years. Fact iβm still in love with it and never had the thought to change it π
Wow what a difference! It looks so cozy and warm β€
Not sure if anyone has mentioned to you already, but didnt you say that your oven doesnt work? We had one of those ovens and it had a safety lock that stopped the oven from working. Every time there was a power cut it wud lock and u had to hold a couple of the buttons down to get the oven to come on again. You probably already know tht but just thought it was worth mentioning incase ππ
Do you know what's lovely, I think you've just brought the kitchen back to life and reimagined the magic space that this probably was for the previous owner once upon a time. I know you always try to be respectful of what the house was in a time gone. Looking stunning!
Oh My Goodness!!! A lesson for us all β do what we can ASAP, because for some of us (me too!!!) the aesthetic of a space is HUGELY important. The kitchen looks LOVELY! Better to take your time with the Reno plan β the longer you live with a kitchen, the more solid your Reno plan will be. Love this!
It amazing how a "smallish" adjustment to our environment, can ease up on the energy we spend trying to deflect the unwanted - even on a subconscious level. Well done you! Also, reds are very hard to nail, so having a trial go, is just good sense ;)
Love your kitchen Caroline,l agree with you it doesn't need to be ripped out in the near future.I could live with that for awhile, kitchen looks so much bigger, well done.
Oh ! Paint those table stools red too ! Adorable !
It totally transformed!! You're so right. I'm like, keep it how it is cuz it's so cozy!
Yes! Caroline, the kitchen is adorable! No need to rush at all! Christmas ready.π
Red is the hardest paint colour to execute! it goes magenta so easily! A front door I did once took five tries, so the fact you got it in one is a miracle. Love the quick makeover even for just how it made you feel! Yay for easy pick-me-ups! ππ
Just sat down with my breakie and this was posted 9 mins ago, timing could not have been better <3
I love your kitchen as it is, truly. I think a new sink and new countertops would do it...I would assume new drawer fronts could be ordered for the missing unit.
I love your revamped kitchen, the colour, the fabric curtain covers...it looks so cosy. Loving watching the renovation and the process you go through to get to your decisions. You are looking so at home it's lovely to see π
An amazing transformation! Congratulations and well done you! Our environments have very strong psychological and physical effects on our well being. I could hear you tearing up as you paused to appreciate your handy work. I am glad you didnβt tear it down.
Maybe you can do the picture rail, other trim and doors in a cream thatβs like one shade darker than what your ceiling is right now. I think itβd help the kitchen cabinets be the focal point and make the ceilings feel taller!
I love your kitchen, its such a cosy space.
What a transformation.β€ such a good idea to paint the whole kitchen, so you can really live with it. β€
