Walkable cities with public transit
well i believe they would rather have a more robust public transit system including inter-city rail but this is a more feasible solution for a city jurisdiction to set-up in our countries lack of effective and coordinated light/heavy rail infrastructure
The American mind cannot comprehend having things within walking distance
I personally don't mind this parking, but the issue with walkability in the US is that sometimes there's literally no sidewalks along the road, this isn't about parking lots, why are we making stuff up to push our point across?
That's pretty cool honestly, in a way. And they even colored it instead of having it some shade of grey, white, or off-white, which is always a plus.
This is legitimately the most normal Jschlatt comment section I've ever seen and that's saying something.
The building would be less than half parking because each parking space is not the same size as an apartment
In my country, they put the parking UNDER the building. I know, I know, extremely alien concept.
"What else do you want", less cars?
Schlorp has successfully been indoctrinated by big car π
We want public commute options
The idea isnβt to have more condensed parking on its own, itβs to have a city where the residents donβt need a car in order to function.
"What else do you want?" Oh boy, shall we list them down?
Schlar industry plant can't comprehend well designed cities and societies.
Schlatt became angry because of schparking spaces
*_Americans when people mention the concept of walking:_*
in dense parts of NYC, alot of people don't own a car at all, for example
Personally Iβd rather have a more walkable city; i just got a place walking distance from downtown and i love to imagine i have money to eat downtown whenever i want
underground big dawg, the netherlands has figured this out like 30 years ago
I mean the parking makes sense; if every unit only has 1 car it still leaves a few for guests/vistors, apartment staff, and other such things. Add in people owning multiple cars/multi car families and those extra spaces disappear quick.
