Iβm glad she didnβt snap at the kid asking the question either. She just turned it into a learning opportunity.

And thatβs how you take a potential bullying situation, donβt expose anything inappropriate or personal, AND turn it all into a teaching lesson that fosters genuine empathy among kids. Holy crap we need this irl

She's an amazing teacher. There's some of them on the world, I hope every child got one.

Beautiful! She engaged them all in their differences and changes. Let this be a lesson for other differences and changes they may see.

And thatβs how it should be taught. Whatβs on the outside is not important, itβs whatβs inside that counts. I like how she didnβt get angry at the little boy who asked the question. I donβt think he was trying to be mean, he was just genuinely curious why a little boy would be bald.

20 yrs Pre k teacher here. For anyone who's having to deal with this subject in class or in your family with young children, there's a children book called "The Boy with Flower in his Head" by JARVIS. It's a beautiful way to answer this exact question without telling too much. Very heartwarming book with a lovely lesson. Just like this short β€

What a brilliant way to handle that β€ Mad respect to all the brilliant and wonderful teachers out there putting extra effort into being like this to their students. We all have at least that one teacher that really made a difference for us and or really got and connected with and helped us, theyβre priceless β€
