I used to be that way but I am a very research based person and dads are rough and tumble and make up physical games (playing, I am not talking about child abuse) by nature. Everyone hates how we worry so much but it protects kids from dying . Dads rough play plays a different role in development. Kids with rough and tumble playful dads have less depression as adults, are more resilient , have better bonds and it’s actually making them stronger. We now know it’s crucial for development. As long as no one is harmed, we just have to let each other do our things and not try to butt in. It’s so hard because my natural protective drive arrived straight after birth and stayed. It’s so strong. It also serves an essential purpose. But we gotta back off with dad. Especially because the baby enjoyed the game.
