You've reached the end
I'd rather be told I'm wrong and go home that day then think I'm right and get my men killed with arrogance
I’ve been in the military and we were ambushed! There is no possible reason why they shouldn’t double check for safety and ambushes up ahead!!! Very unrealistic scenario, of not listening to your gut feeling, none whatsoever. In fact, if you don’t listen you die
After he holsters his gun the scout spots the ambush.
“Actually I’m here to interpret”… cold
My favorite part is the distinction between 'assumption' and 'deduction'.
Movie name "The Covenant" You're welcome.
I hate it when a scene is not shown completely
My deployments taught me: When my experience says everything doesn't look right and the inner voice says everything's all wrong, I follow that feeling.
Did some research, and right after this the scouts actually do find out it's an ambush!
Bad feelings arise from your unconsciousness noting things that your consciousness missed.
If I was in a foreign country even as a tourist and an interpreter/translater/guide says “I don’t like this area/stay away from that place/ let’s go now” I listen. I’m in their backyard. They know it better than I ever will.
I did 3 deployments in Afghanistan. I was an 11B. Two deployments with the 10th mountain division. And one deployment with ranger battalion. My first deployment with ranger battalion was my last. I got injured on that last deployment and was medically retired. I speak pashtu and when we were getting the interpreters integrated to be attached to a platoon my unit would have them go on a mission with us or have them work beside me for a while to see if they were dirty or if they gave misinformation translating to catch bad ones because we didnt tell them I speak pashtu.
After this scene, they did find a kill box a few kilometres from their position proving Ahmed was right.
Not the ACOG directly against his eyeball....
"I'm here to interpret." He did it correctly. Great movie scene.
He's absolutley not out of bounds. That's some real ass shit
and then the drone tells them it’s an ambush. Better to be safe than sorry.
I loved that dude that caught his misinterpretation. He was right all along and saved the day
This movie is probably the best movie Jake did. They kept the excitement level cranked all the way up throughout and I was on the edge of my seat. Would definitely recommend. Movie name is “The Covenant”
Survival instinct is a must every time.
