Life With a 3 Week Old Baby...(this isn't what we expected!)

Postpartum hormone drop, the newness to a routine outside of your norm, the dependence a baby has on you, the recovering from anything that happened in labour and birth, the stress, the joy, the overwhelming feeling of love that you can never truly understand until your in it- it is all so powerful, overwhelming, and takes a long time to get used to, but you are already doing so well Rosie, your stepping out of your comfort zone and going into a shop which might not seem big to other but it definitely is a huge milestone in the postpartum anxiety, Harry’s doing an incredible incredible job at supporting you, being there, helping when and where he can and that definitely helps us women when we have a good partner like that throughout the postpartum period. Congratulations both of you, I promise it gets easier and easier each day with every little aspect of being a parent and being postpartum. Thank you for sharing such raw details with us and being open about how real postpartum actually is. Beau seems so so sweet too 💙

Pumping mumma here 👋 please please please don’t put the motor of the pump in the fridge and please take the motor off when pouring out your milk 😬 you’ll break the $500 pump and won’t be under warranty. Pour it from the pump straight after a session into a bottle or milk bag and either wash the pump or do the fridge method. Wishing you both all the best

The honest reality is those first weeks are hard, but the toddler power struggles later on completely broke me 😳 I spent years validating every emotion for my toddler, only to watch her turn into a tiny lawyer who argued over shoes and bedtimes. The only thing that finally helped was to read this book Why Good Parenting Fails from Nora Bryant,, her approach gave me quiet authority without harsh punishments. We actually laugh and enjoy our days now) My favourite one! nothing like it

Once you have a baby, time flies. Everyday blends into the next, its hard to fathom where the time has gone aha

Hey Rosie! Just wanted to let you know it’s not recommended to put the motor of the pump in the fridge & also take the motor off to pour the milk, so no milk gets into the motor! you and harry are doing an amazing job! Welcome to the world Beau!! xx

Be noisy around your newborn don’t be scared because when they get older they get used to the noise we used to use the hoover and music on when baby slept and she slept through it 😂
