CompUSA was dope. When LCD monitors came out, I bought two, the salesman told me to get the 2 year warranty because it covered EVERYTHING, and since tech just gets cheaper and better so quickly, he told me to just bring them back in 2 years and just say "they don't work", and get 2 bigger, better monitors for free essentially. I did that THREE TIMES before they went under 😂

I paid 2300$ for a PC and HP printer in 1994. Computers were not cheap back then.

Our families first computer had a 40mb hard drive about half the size of a shoebox. At that time computers being sold did not have a hard drive. I know my parents paid a small fortune for it, it was a custom build because there weren't any prebuilts with hard drives at the time, not consumer grade anyways.

Yeah, our school had about seven MacIntosh desktop computers so we could learn how basic operations worked. No Internet was available. #1980s

Computers were hellaciously expensive in the early 90s. I remember paying £120 for 4MB RAM around 1994 and thinking that was a good deal.
