another awesome destination in Guatemala . the lake and it's villages and town are amazing .the views of lake beautiful Wow! what a awesome colorful town 👌🏻👌🏻

We spent 10 days at Lake Atitlan. All the towns are amazing. Every one of them is unique in its own way. Our favorite was San Juan La Laguna as it is very colorful, less touristy, family friendly, woman businesses thrive in this town. San Padera for party people or back packers, Panajachel for general shopping and if you like hustle and bustle. If you are vegetarian, like yoga, into hippie life style, you got the whole nine yards I mean the whole nine yards, those who know will know. I guarantee you if you have not been around hippies, you will find it difficult to eat non vegetarian food and some of the names that you will see, you most likely never heard those and never tried those foods before. Don't miss out the massages and volcanic pools in San Pedro, we loved them and you can enjoy them with your family and friends and they are decently priced. Buy your hand woven/textile goods made by local artisans (if you really want something special as they are not cheap by any stretch of imagination. Pana for t-shirts and leather goods. Don't forget to visit the cafe la cabana for sunset. Don't forget to visit chocolate factories and coffee tours all around the lake. This place is mind blowing, we loved every minute here. This place is so colorful that words can't describe it. Ladies sit outside their houses in the evening and sell goods and barter, it is so much fun. If you are into water activities, there is not shortage of those and volcanic hikes are amazing as well. Wake up super early in the morning to hear the amazing bird chirping and avoid the rain and fire season as it is not fun because you will not be able to enjoy much in rainy season as it pours hard and during fire season, the smoke really takes over and air quality is poor and thick smoke clouds block your views around the lake.

Apart from the plaza, downtown/shopping areas of the town being colourful with graffiti, the colourful houses along the way to this town gave a special getup to the green landscape. Simple but happy living. Happy travelling and TC....👏👏👌👌👍👍😊🌹

I’ve watched every single video of Abrar Wilderness from his journey from Germany to Pakistan, then through Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, all the way across South Africa, and now through South America, Alaska, Canada, the US, Mexico, Belize, and today I’ve finally caught up to Guatemala! I’ve been binge-watching this entire series continuously. Now having to wait 3 days for the next episode is going to be so tough, but reaching this milestone today makes me incredibly happy. I can’t even describe this excitement in words.
