Phone is on? It’s listening. Phone is off? It’s also listening.
My wife doesn't listen to me so I'm just happy my phone does.
Youcan turn it all off, but that doesn’t mean that your phone isn’t listening no more just because tou don’t see that orange dot. It wouldn’t surprise me if some apps still listen without a orange dot being showed. Never trust anyone just because they say they care about your privacy, they don’t. They only care about money and profits, and apple only cares like any other company about their own profit.
I've had all of this turned off for as long as I've had my phone. Curiously, a customer who only spoke Spanish came into my store a few months ago. She was using her phone to translate, but, I happen to speak Spanish fairly well. So, we carried on in Spanish. It was the first time I spoke with someone in Spanish for years. Ever since then, I'm getting YouTube advertisements in Spanish. Obviously, something is listening. The conversation was even held outside in the parking lot, so it's not like a PC or some other device could have heard it.
Even if it’s off, it listens to you
I’m in cybersecurity and no matter what you turn off or on the phone is still listening. You can break your phone and it’s still gonna listen to you. There’s a reason you can remove the battery anymore. It’s to have constant 24/7 surveillance on you.
This is one of the best settings videos I’ve seen, thanks!
As a paralyzed person Voice Control has saved my life! That little orange button is revolutionary and has allowed me to be able to function on a level that I would not have been able to without it! Turn it off if you don't want to use it, but as for me it will always be on! Thank you Apple!
Fun fact, turning these settings OFF does nothing. The device still listens. Best solution is to smash the phone, or put it in a faraday cage.
Excellent video! Thank you for speaking slowly enough to follow directions! I've seen other videos where the narrator is going so fast, I'd get confused!
You are so calm finally no hype- thank you!!
Hi… Military veteran here. That feature can be on or off and it does not matter. Only thing that stops the “ears dropping” is an emp. Electric magnetic pulse which damages the phone internally. This technology is used to track “high end” criminals or find someone when necessary for the government.
you can STOP spam calls on your phone! 👉 /DOeJGxEPQ7U battery draining? check these! 👉 /72DdsDtwYVc
Had the orange dot problem and battery was draining faster than normal. The problem was name recognition. WTH? Never heard of it before and did not activate it. Then this video is in my YT feed. Makes me want to get a flip phone
My husband and I use long range walkie talkies most of the time because we spend most of our time in opposite ends of the house 😂
They probably stopped listening to me when they realized how boring my life is😂
it’s not only recording. It’s actually taking pictures of you if you record your phone or somebody with their phone in the dark, their camera is constantly flashing and you’ll only catch that with house security cameras, you will see people’s phones constantly taking flash pictures of them
I just finished turning everything off and was playing part of the video for my wife. While playing it, Siri started listening!
Yeah it’s listening. So is my smart TV and probably my smart appliances too. How many times are you recorded driving, at stores etc. . Can’t get away from it. Unfortunately
