This shows that as tough as Keane is on his teammates, he is way harder on himself.
100% deserved a medal... without him, they are not getting to the final.... interesting to hear how long its taken him to get to the point of seeing his own value to that CL win.... truly sensational player, Keane was - up there with the very, very best of them!
Accepted the medal 2 years ago. Wow. Keano we wouldnβt have got there without you.
We never saw this coming didn't we?? Keano Gerrard and Gaz giggled together. Brilliant
Fair play to Keane here with his honesty. Really honest take, massive respect for the guy. He 100% deserved that medal. From an Arsenal fan.
This is one of the sweetest things I've heard Roy say- him being kind to himself is everything π’ besides, we all think he deserved the medal anyway
Absolute legend. I'm a Spurs fan , and you're one of my football heroes. Keano , Maradonna , Maldini , Pirlo , Hoddle . I don't doubt for a moment that Roy deserved a medal. Services to football / sport. Tough but fair on the pitch , straight talking gent off of it.
Royβa best performance was vs Netherlands in 2001!
Roy Keane was a fantastic player. It wasnβt just the βhard manβ stuff it was so much more. Dictated play, drove the team forward, scored goals, defended and put his body on the line etc. Not a Man U supporter but you have to admire talent.
The man had Man U on his shoulders like the Atlas for years, he is the most deserving at that club. What a captain.
Now I want to know what he had on the radio on the drive back to Ireland, to inspire this great realisation. 15 years, of course he deserved a medal!
Pure respect for Roy Keane.
Utd played 13 games in the champions league in the 98/99 season, roy played 12, the final being the only game he didn't play, he obviously deserved his winners medal even though he probably feels he didn't because he didn't play the final
Roy will always be a legend
At least he honest about it about taking so long to accept it fair play to him β€β€
I watched every game from when he joined until he left united and I think it was his best performance in a united shirt
On par with the 2001 game for Ireland when he put manners on the dutch. Legend
When he says 'I deserved a medal for it' it's like he thinks he has to justify it. That season he was as good as I've seen a midfielder play. You earned that medal a hundred times over Roy
I love modern Roy Keane β€
Roy feeling like that for years but Terry was on the pitch in his kit celebrating in 2012 when he got a straight red in the semi and almost cost his team. Respect for Roy, he did deserve his medal!
