Tipping culture is out of control in the US
Never ever tip if you counter-order. Itβs pathetic.
So true! Tips expected for everything now. Ridiculous.
Yeah I dont tip when I have to stand in Line to order get my own drink and clean my shit up when I am done
I do not go back to these places,
Sick of tipping for nothing
Tipping someone who is HIRED to work for a SALARY/WAGE has to be one of the most stupid things in the history of mankind.
Expected tipping in a self serve frozen yogurt place is the epitome of tipping culture going overboard. The employee literally takes my payment after I've put together my desert and they do nothing else directly related to customer service.
Sheβs totally right, I quit tipping years ago exactly because what she said
I usually don't mind tipping and if you give a good service, I may even go 20-25% depending on where I am (even higher in bars)... but if you DEMAND tip, you get 0$. It's also the case when the machine starts at 18% or 20%. Being greedy gets you 0$.
Some places have actually "Recommended" 30% tips but they hardly have shown back up "to check on the table" till time to pay the bill. I don't get ANY TIPS at my job and I work a lot harder and under a hell of a lot more stress than any of these Servers are.
π *Who's neeids RBX on 19 October 2026?!!* π₯°π
She not lying
I never tip up front at a restaurant! I donβt know how the food will be delivered or the food service will be handled. I wait until me and my wife are done and then I will leave cash. This tip at the cashier is really annoying! Just seems like another entitlement situation!! Iβm not falling for the guilt trap
Tipping is not mandatory πππ
I only tip if the server genuinely checks on us. Most servers now a days do not do anything but deliver the plate. I'll get the food myself from the chef if that cost me an extra 18 bucks on an already overpriced plate of grub.
I've lived, worked and visited many countries, only in America is tipping expected. But, if they didn't screw up my order, I usually tip a small amount.
I also never tip with debit or credit cards I carry cash and I pay with card but tip with cash so the server is getting the tip not the restaurant
Tips are for doing a great job not an average job. Thatβs what your salary is for. The term gratuity means being grateful for your outstanding service.
Tips are like respect... they are EARNED and not given for nothing!
