The idea of a VIP floor in a hospital goes against everything a hospital is. VIP floor should equal no state/federal funding (assuming this bullshit happens somewhere in the real world)
Vip at a hospital stops being a hospital
The idea that whoever pays the most money deserves to live more is so dystopian. And the fact that hospitals ACTUALLY do this is crazy. Fuck earth.
"VIP patients" any hospital that institutes that system needs it's administration lynched
Fun fact! VIP patients are a real thing! Theyβre often people connected to the high rankings in the hospital system and I think celebrities/people with power? At least the hospitals near me. They get βspecialβ treatment where basically all staff are told to be on their best behavior. Thats it from what I understand tho
Vip patient thing is such bullshit
The fact some people genuinely believe a VIP floor doesn't exist in US hospitals is so naive. If you took a minute to look it up, there's quite a few US hospitals with VIP floors. The fact you don't know about it means they're running exactly as intended, so poors don't know about them without research.
Oh how quickly I would sue the hospital for that treatment and being abandoned for someone with money, that would bring an end to their little VIP floor
I wish doctors were more like her nowadays.
VIP should be entirely funded by the ones using the VIP not the doctors, not the hospitals, not the government. Another private hospital scam i seeπππ
in the real world a "VIP" or special treatments would piss off many of the interns and medical staff even the ones not involved that is why no matter how greedy the corporation of healthcare can be they wouldnt do something so risky and provoke senior staff potentionally causing many of them to quit over it
Grey or Sloan? Sloan is dead, honey. The Grey whose name is actually on the hospital's nameplate is also dead.
Guys this is the same hospital that allowed interns to conduct an illicit non-consensual surgery on a corpse to locate a genetic problem that coukd effect his daughter (in one of the first few seasons) and in season 2 or 3 I think, they had an intern doctor, Izzy Stevens, who breached procotol, got romantically involved with a patient, Denny Duqette, who was on a donor list for a new heart, then when someone else got that heart, she cut his LVAD wire, effectively almost killing him, roped her 4 colleagues in, incl Dr Grey into her stupidity, and forced that heart to be delviered for Denny instead. She lied to the dude (forgot his name, the man she was sleeping with) on the phone (he was at the other hospital, with the true recipient of that heart), and she was excused. She got reprimanded, and yet her license was never revoked (she was one if the 2 involved i the illicit surgery mentioned). This show is filled with stupidity, incl (not medical related btw) Dr Grey in earlier seasons and her partner Dr Shepherd fake marrying and genuinely thinking the other is thwmeir legal partner. They had no marriage certificate, no vows, no witnesses - that's not a marriage, that's a joke.
As a nurse, we're thaught that we should NEVER give hope to a patient, even if we're 100% sure the surgery will go well. Because ANYTHING can happen even in the smallest and easiest surgery. That's what consent forms are for.
20 years on this series. Ellen pompeo is almost 56 years old today. Without her' grey's anatomy will never be this great.
Her calm nature helps 100%
Iβm assuming this is in America with the VIP floor thing? Thatβs absolutely revolting. Just greedy
Rich people donβt care about what the hospital has the pay in a lawsuit and that one had a hernia.
This happens at Cedars in L.A. My mom was admitted last year for terminal cancer and was put in a tiny room where you couldnβt even sit down despite there being a whole wing across from her with bigger rooms that were empty. When I asked why she couldnβt be moved so that we could stay with her we were told that they were private rooms/VIP suites. I thought it was a joke. Never been so disgusted. I pulled her out the next day.
