Apple just teased new products for next week with a “Pro and tell” tagline, and it’s looking like the first touchscreen Mac is finally here. Apple is hosting a media experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 28, and we’re expecting four new products: a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro, an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro, an M6 iMac, and the iPad mini 8 with an OLED display. In this video, we break down everything we know: the OLED display, touchscreen support, the Dynamic Island replacing the notch, a lighter design, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, expected pricing, the new 2nm M6 chip, iMac updates, and the iPad mini 8’s A20 Pro chip, landscape camera, water resistance, and the big 120Hz ProMotion question. Having used an iPad as a laptop for years, I can say for me personally I get tired of tapping stuff VERY quickly. It is awkward ergonomics to have your arm out like that.
I have never had the need for a touch screen laptop. I mean cool to the technology, but not worth spending the extra $$$$$$.
excited for the M6 iMac so I can find an M4 iMac on the cheap soon.

I just want the OLED.
Looking forward to an OLED MacBook Pro, but I am never going to touch that screen. That said, I'm not too bothered that there's a touch screen either. The MacBook Pro has always had features I never use. I've only used the webcam one time (where I could have used my phone), and that webcam notch is way more annoying and intrusive of an unwanted feature.
I'm holding on to the hopes of an ipad mini with all the bells and whistles.

Touch would be useful for app development, testing UI for mobile, but that's all I can think of.
iPad mini needs 120hz. That completes the package.
