A lot of people think Dubai is showing off with the supercar police vehicles, they're not really, because there's a ton of supercars in Dubai and regular police vehicles can't keep up. One thing I loved and was most definitely a showoff was a corvette as a fire vehicle used for incident reaction (Fire Dept. in Dubai is Civil Defense if anyone wants to google the corvette)
