Sometimes Your Parents Don't Know Either π Growing up, we believe our parents have all the answers. They know what's right. They know what to do. And whenever something goes wrong, we expect them to know how to fix it. But as we get older, we start realizing something. They're figuring life out too. They make mistakes. They have doubts. They get scared. And sometimes they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Because becoming a parent doesn't suddenly give you all the answers. They're still human. Still learning. Still dealing with problems they've never faced before. The uncomfortable truth? Sometimes we judge our parents for not knowing things that we're still struggling to understand ourselves. We forget that they've never lived this exact moment before either. And maybe some of the decisions we once thought were mistakesβ¦ Were simply the best choices they knew how to make at the time. That doesn't mean parents are always right. Or that every mistake should be excused. But understanding that they're human can completely change the way we see them. Because one day, you realize your parents weren't people who had life figured out. They were people trying to figure it out while raising you. So the real question is: At what age did you realize your parents were just people experiencing life for the first time too? ππ¬ Credits: Young Sheldon β οΈ DM for credit or removal request (no copyright intended) β οΈ . . . . #parenting #family #psychology #humanbehavior #shorts

When I was a young teen, mine started late at night while visiting my uncle. They didn't have any pads and my dad didn't want the ladies to go to the drugstore that late for our safety. He went and bought me what I needed. I miss him so much. RIP, dad.
This ladys face so angelic...
I saw a guy on the feminine products aisle who didnt have a clue. I walked up and asked him the same questions as this cashier. He was just as relieved! During our 10 minute interaction, I learned that he had recently lost his wife of 15 years, and his 12 year old daughter began her first cycle that day. His parents were no longer living, so he had no women to ask for help. I explained the difference between pads and tampons (which had him blushing the entire time) and why most young girls used pads until they become sexually active. (He blushed even harder) Once I had helped him choose the appropriate products for his little girl, he thanked me profusely, and told me he would never forget my kindness and patience. Its important to know, that I was just a customer like him! I always pay attention to my surroundings, and bc of that, I helped someone who was too embarassed to ask for assistence. Kindness is still free, and the patience to help another, might just feel like a life savor to them.
My parents got divorced when I was young, like early teens. They had shared custody. One day my dad sat me and my sister down and asked us why, in about six months, neither of us had ever asked him for period supplies. He knew we were both old enough, weβd started before the divorce. We said it was embarrassing because he wasnβt a girl. He took us into the bathroom and opened a drawer in the towel closet. It was fully stocked with pads, tampons, period panties, midol, and two heating pads. He looked at us and said βIβm your dad. You never have to be embarrassed to ask me for help. Itβs my first priority.β
George was the best father, a good person and always so authentic β€
Such an amazing lady. The world would be a better place if people started treating others like she did.
No ma'am..yes ma'am β€
My parents divorced when I was young. The first period I had at my dad's, he had to get me some feminine products. It was during the time he was single and wasn't with my step mother yet. When he finally got back home, he told me he ended up having to ask a lady for help. It was a moment that was a little awkward for the both of us but it was also a bonding moment. Ever since that moment, i could really talk to him about anything related to my feminine health. I lost my dad 2 and a half years ago and this video just made me cry since it reminded me of that one moment. I miss him everyday. I'd do anything to have my dad back....
I can totally relate. Former single dad had full custody of my daughter at the time. My daughter teacher told me it was time for training bra so we went to the store spent 30 minutes looking but could not find it finally a lady asked if she could help us find something turns out they put them in the ladies section. i was looking in the kids section. I didn't know any better and my daughter didn't want me to ask for help because she was embarrassed. Come time for her menstrual i called my sister for help. Lol!
My 7 years old asked me once, when I was repairing his bike, how do I know all this? And I said because I did it before or I did something similar in past and based on that I figured it out... The only thing I don't know so far is how to be a Dad. He looked at me surprised and said How so? And I said because it's my first time and I never done it before... He said you doing good and smiled ... Then 30 second later asked me how is he doing as a son.. And I said you are nothing like I imagined you... But you are my favourite first born and Oliver is my favourite baby. One of the best father son moment I had with him.
Reading some of the comments hurts my heart. My husband has been to the store for me and our daughter many times, no problem buying feminine hygiene products for us. It's sad that other men won't
Ooh I'm a father of 3 beautiful amazing daughters. And this scene just filled me with so much emotions. And yes sometimes we really don't know what we're doing. And the lady like the one in this scene. They're just angels sent from God to help us out. π’
Goerge was a goat (like uncle phil) hard when needed to be hard, loud when he needed to be loud, and softer than Egyptian cotton wrapped in silk when it came time, but always respectful regardless!
Awwwβ¦I actually cried when he died on the show!π’ I was so sad and filled with so many emotions.β€
When I started dating my wife, I kept a packet in the car for her just in case. We've been together 18 years now and I can't get why a grown man wouldn't buy what the ladies in their life need. Men, you're supposed to provide more than just money.
This show tugged at my heart so many times πβ€οΈ definitely watching again
When I got married to the love of my life, he sat me down and asked me outright about my period, my needs, my preferred products, and had me confirm which ones visually. He confidently goes to the store to help me restock, sometimes he will grab some when he notices my cupboard is running low. And bless his heart, he always delivers them to me with my favorite bottles tea and a dark chocolate bar. I love him so much!! It's nothing to be ashamed of and asking for help isn't weakness. πβ€
My first boyfriend walked to the store in a snowstorm to get me pads and newports with his own money. He was also my 1st, I have no regrets lol. We are facebook friends and he has a beautiful wife and daughter while I'm a widow with 2 kids, 4 grandkids and 1 on the way. I hurt him and broke up with him but I'm glad he forgave me. He was too good for a mentally ill broken girl like me anyway. I been clean from hard drugs since 2016 by the mercy of Jesus.
Me and my pal were on a pub crawl when we were 20, and we got a phone call from his little sister, who was about 11 or 12, saying she was feeling ill at a party. When we got there, it turned out it was her first period, and sheβd bled through her jeans. π I put her in my hoodie and ran to the shop, trying to figure out what we needed. We were both so drunk, but luckily, a woman working there helped us out and gave us everything we needed. We took her home and spent the rest of the night eating ice cream and watching films with her. π π
