Better AI. No, actually WAY better AI ... Thats what this game needs. The "Season 3 and onwards" AI decision making is more than idiotic. Huuuge dealbreaker when it comes to the so called long-term saves. Hopefully by 2030, they would finish implementing all the missing "LEGACY" features from past FM's and start focusing on a better AI...

Match engine ranks very highly for me in FM but that also ties into graphics/animation quality. It might sound goofy or arcade-like but the effect of playstyles in FIFA triggering an animation above a player's head sounds like a good idea to me. Instead of trusting the game to increase a player's risk taking with "Tries killer balls" (like trusting that shouts worked as intended for years), I want to see the difference between a player with or without the trait for example and also the 3D animations to more link with what is happening in the match engine. For example, all the times a defender looks goofy planted to the ground as an opponent runs through them unchallenged. Is that the AI "knocking the ball past", utilizing dribbling, the defender missing a tackle and getting caught out or is that the defender isn't as near as visualized?
All that really matters is that the game makes you feel like a football manager. Does it feel like your choices have an impact on the game. Does the game feel 'real'
They actually seem to be listening to their community. Perhaps FM26 was a blessing in disguise which made them have to make changes.. FM27 looks very promising

We had the alpha build that was FM26. We are moving towards a beta build that will be FM27. They are on the right track but we must stay cautious.
The 2D engine had those little footsies to see facing like 20 years ago. I had no idea they were removed somewhere along the way.
