I hope there's three other stages where you can play as the Other Three of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

This game is weirdly somber and unsettling for it's genre. You really don't expect that out of incremental/clicker game. It almost feels like a horror game, but it's not exactly scary in the sense horror games usually are, so I hesitate to call it that. It definitely fits that vibe though.

I have watched like three people play this game. Does no one know what the four horsemen are any more? Not a single person that picked up that drawing of the stick figures seemed to recognize it.

4:18 This is obviously the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - and (probably) not the 4 classes you can choose: Conquest (or Pestilence), War, Famine, and Death. I'm guessing the rats running at their feet are the (har)bring(er)s of the plague which you represent. The earliest writings used War to represent destructive conflict, while Conquest represented subjugative conflict. Later (in the middle ages?) the ideas were united into one, and it was decided that the second horseman better fit the role. This left no apparent role for the first horseman - and then the Black Death occurred, and its new role seemed obvious.

Df gleefully causing the end of humanity was actually so funny.

Df... There is no farmer. He won't be seeing his field destroyed. He's not gonna be seeing much of anything.

One thing I find ironic about this game is that recently I watched a video talking about how research is being done to find alternatives in case wheat does get diseased like this and we loose our main flour crop. Apparently we can make gluten free flour out of cattail roots but it's costly and difficult to harvest in large amounts

I'm pretty sure the wheat was actually a representation of the global food supply (or of individual human souls). The messages seem to indicate that you're actually moving through society at large and that many days are passing. I don't think the wheat field is literal at all.

Imagine Grim Reaper comes to take your life away and you ask him "Did my life have any value in it?" And the Grim Reaper answers: "20 points... Your life was worth 20 points"

I like this concept because it’s one of those incremental games that make sense to be in the genre. You’re an entity slowly growing in power, you obviously can’t just step on the wheat, so you use death magic
