There's definitely a way to abuse this by adding increasingly noticeable affects to the birth mark. Like adding increasing quantities of glitter, or something. Edit: On further consideration a bunch of acne star patches would definitely mess with people. They are also something people aren't generally expected to point out.

When I met a woman with the similar birthmark as a child, her mom or whoever the adult was said don't look at or mention her birthmark. Looked just like you and everything. Ngl I didn’t see the scratch until you said you’d been scratched and even then I had to actually look for the scratch. That being said, nobody ever really asks about scratches, especially if they know you have cats. A bruise on the face would probably get questions tho. I’ve never been asked about scratches but I have gotten questions about bruises from fencing.
