My child hood dog was 22 when he passed. He was a great dog. As he got older his hearing went and then he got cataracts. My mom had adopted a lab puppy and at 6 months old, she took over being his eyes and ears. If they were outside and mom would call, she would go get him and heard him to the door. If it was time to eat she would herd him to his bowl and at times would push it to him and, she would insure he found it and was eating before she would eat herself. No one taught her,, she just started doing it.

That is the coolest dog I've ever seen in my life. Refusing to take the treat before his blind brother. If we had half the loyalty, unconditional love, and the biggest hearts of our 4 legged friends, the world would be a lot better place.
