You REALLY undersell the farmers, they may not be the strongest up front, but they make up for it in cost effectiveness and utility. Haybailers can eat most projectiles without taking damage, harvesters are weaker than other units of their type but FARRRR cheaper and still hit really hard, potion sellers can stun enemies for a longass time with low damage, and scarecrow deals HUUUUUGE damage from range.
I love how the 2nd level is called Civil Protection and features the metro cop, with the unit having a stun batton Basically being a half life reference (The most basic arm of the combines military is called the Civil Protection, the humans in said arm called Metrocops and wield stun batons, pistols and later, SMGs) The birds from the mechanic are near identical in function to Manhacks too, small flying drones that slice at you with spinning blades (very different from other flying summons like the crows, as they don’t explode as their attack)

I had no idea they tried the other campaigns in TABS, I thought Spiff just didn't want to do them, but I guess those issues makes sense, too.
To be fair to Landfall, last time they "abandoned" TABS, they dropped the full game after a few years. So I'm sure they have big updates coming up
seing spiff describe final destination metro cop as an easy stage after seeing captainsauce struggle on it for like 10 minutes because he didnt want to possess units is so funny considering how much sauce hates halflings

9:43 they did make a video saying how for tabs the game takes a while to boot up for development and it’s very complex. Also it reached a patch limit on one console edition.
