Every government department, every business, have over the years been forcing people to go paperless, to depend on apps etc. Anyone could see that total reliance on the internet is foolishness. Hopefully we don't see a worse breakdown of the internet 😮
Get rid of the Internet, world was better before it existed
This is only the beginning. Expect this to happen more often now
Ffs, it’s already started.
The World Wide Web has been around for only 35 years and without it the whole world crumbles. How truly lost we've become in such a short amount of time.
This is The point cyber security experts have been complaining about age gating the internet and Digital ID, this is one reason why it should not happen.
"it's wake-up call we shouldn't be giving so much data to these companies" .... it's either give data or don't get to use the site and many people would rather just use the site.

And so it begins…
Cyber attacks are one thing..the government using it to scare people into being more controlled is something completely different.
For starters, it isn't in itself a "hack" but a vulnerability. If you can't even get this right in your headline why would people listen to you in more detail?
This is exactly why the Online Safety Act needs to be abolished. The duty to protect children on the internet should be on parents, but instead under the law, we've been forced to send scans of our faces, our IDs, some of the most personally invasive information about our lives that we possibly could give. But this is exactly why we shouldn't be doing this, and why it's been long regarded that having as little information about yourself on the internet as possible is better. While the OSA tries to protect children, who have been able to bypass many of it's protections already, it only endangers everyone else on the internet, massively increasing the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Yes. But the new child protection Age ID requires you to give all this data to multiple sites.
My bug out bag is packed
Humans found it using AI, then humans leaked the findings, humans then exploited it. AI itself isn’t the problem, humans are!

Lets hope IDS/IPS systems picked up the signatures quickly enough.
Everyone know this day will come. PHP is known for being old and under maintained. Im surprise it has to be AI that find it.
I'm a developer using PHP and reading the comments here make me laugh. People talking about AI and robots... What will happen is a patch fixing the problem on most web servers. This is something that keeps happening all the time. The only difference now is that the steps to recreate the issue were shared with the news fairly quickly.
