Naman Dhir delivered a stunning match-winning cameo, smashing 42 off just 15 balls to rescue India from a middle-order collapse and seal a record chase of 226 in the 1st T20I at Christchurch. Walking in with the game slipping away, Dhir counter-attacked with five fours and two sixes, including a dramatic top‑edged pull that cleared fine leg to finish the match with two balls to spare. His fearless hitting not only shattered a 17-year-old record for the highest score by an Indian at No.7 or lower in a successful T20I chase, but also showcased his rising stature as India’s new late-overs enforcer #NamanDhir #IndianCricketTeam #INDvNZ #Finisher #Rescue #TeamIndia #MumbaiIndians #SanjuSamson . .
