They keep raising prices assuming the market can bear it. The proper answer to this is to not buy. Forget your FOMO and do what needs to be done.
Bioware haven't really been the Bioware we loved for years now, but this still hurts to see.
After the glacial pace of this gen there is no way in hell I'm buying a $1800 console to play like 5 games in 5 years
“It was like HR was in the room” ~ SkillUp circa 2024! On BioWare’s death.
Bleak? Bioware died years ago. They just double tapped the corpse that was being puppeted by incompetent people.
It's almost mercy kill at this point.
BioWare is a prime example of why we should be a fan of the creatives and not the companies. The people who actually made the games we loved left years ago, and the corporate ghouls that pushed them out in the first place have been wearing their hand me downs masquerading as them. American companies haven’t valued their creators since the 80’s and the quality drop off is becoming ever present.
The Bioware we knew died long ago, this was just a formality and I don't understand why people are so unwilling to accept that
I am extremely blessed and live a faily comfortable life. An $1800 console would be an absolute no for me and the beginning of a generational back log run
When I first played ME2, I was maybe 14 or 15 years old. Because English is my second language, I barely understood anything at the time. But even then, I became so obsessed with the story, world and characters that I wrote down the words in the subtitle that I didn't understand, looked up their meanings in a dictionary, and tried to learn the meaning of every single word so I could understand the story better during my next playthrough. I did this for ME3 too. When I finished my first playthrough of ME3, my notebook had almost 1,000 words in it that I practiced every day. It is just brutal that we may never ever see another Mass Effect.
Is it sad that Bioware is shutting down? Kind of? Is it surprising? No.

Hold up. You yourself in your own Anthem videos debunked the "EA forced frostbite for Anthem" claims. It was stated by former bioware devs directly to Jason Schrier that Bioware *chose* to use frostbite
I have for a long time come to terms that the Bioware that made DA:O and ME2 has been long gone, this is just the corpse finally getting cremated/burried.
Listing off the legendary games that Bioware made in the past does more to highlight that it's not the studio that made those games anymore.
I am so happy the corpse of Bioware can't be desecrated any longer.
The writing was on the purple wall
i cannot be sad about a team that has not put out a good game in over a decade
The death of Bioware was a given, but it still hurts now that it's here.
Bioware died a long time ago, this was just EA finally burying the casket.
