Playing Zelda SNES for the 1st time 🔴Full Stream🔴 (10-22)

its unbelievable to see someone who grew in the 90's playing this game for the first time. This game was one of the game I almost didn't play too but I'm glad I played and along with Mega Man X, FF, Chrono Trigger it makes me nostalgic when I see it played blindly by others.

This game is a timeless masterpiece

That first moment when you step out of the house into the rain is so ingrained into my head from my first play as a kid, such a great game and set me off on my SNES rpg journey.

AlttP always had my favorite version of Hyrule Castle. In every other game, you get there and it's already destroyed or deserted. But you get there here, you open those giant doors and you hear that fanfare and music and the place is huge and sprawling with Knights everywhere, it never quite has the same gravitas of "This is the seat of Hyrule's power in all its glory" until AlBW, which is literally supposed to be an homage to it.

This was a masterclass in overthinking, but I loved it :D

As a little kid, like pre 10 years old, the concept of reading to find out what to do next in a video game never clicked for me. I can't tell you how many times I replayed the opening of this game, getting Zelda to the church and then just fucking around not knowing what to do next. And it was still one of my favorite SNES games. I did eventually played through the whole game in my teen years.

Omg that's thieves hut block puzzle was torture to watch. Like how TF you keep doing the same thing wrong over and over

This is in my top 5 games of all time. Played it as an elementry school kid when it was first out and have completed it hundreds of times so this was quite painful to watch haha but also great to see Max really enjoying it. This game really set the foundations for what future Zelda games could be and also action adventure games. An absolute GOAT and the best zelda in my mind.

Max really wants Ice Rod to do something so bad.

What sucks is that sometimes we find 99% of the solution, but miss that critical 1%, and then our brains immediatly scratch that idea, and then you're doomed to wander for hours until you go back and try that one thing that "doesn't work" again, but now it works. I'm sure everyone has moments like that (but won't admit). At least the game offers plenty of other things to discover if and when you get lost and start trying things. So getting lost is actually a feature.
