Working with Mr Bruh, we've exploit chained the ASUS vulnerability into the unpatched LG TV remote code execution vulnerabilities, enabling us to breach and take over an ASUS router to then tunnel into a TV and convert it into a listening device. This could be easily done, for example, from an office lobby, cafe, or business with available WiFi networks or open wall sockets. Likewise, you could chain in from a more remote position by exploiting other device vulnerabilities. ASUS' response was lackluster, as it often is, and the company requested an extension on its fixes. The sus in Asus stands for sus
Funny how protecting your privacy takes 20 clicks, but surrendering it takes one.
Steve's disappointment in ASUS is no longer just a regular segment, it’s a permanent state of being.
I can not wait for the response: "We have received reports from some media outlets of some confusion that is affecting a very small number of users."
This is fine, everything is fine. We will be alright.
EULA's are just modern day curses that you get merely by touching an object.
"it's been 6 months. You need to update your password to keep your information secure" from companies who have microphones open to anybody with an Internet connection in 40 million+ homes
YOUTUBE closed captions no longer refuses to say Microslop. Small win.
Can we get a "safe home router" video that covers what is worth buying in light of the bans and exploits like this?
Possibly in the range of 25 million to 35 million ASUS routers affected, so if you have basically any ASUS router, you should check for updates. Also, as general advice, lock down local network devices even if you think only you will have access. You never know how someone might chain into it. SUPPORT US! Gamers Nexus sold me wisdom at gas station
Love the security focus of this episode of "How you're getting F***ed"...whoops wrong channel...lol Great work gentlemen.
A router with a privacy policy immediately disqualifies itself, even if it had no vulnerabilities...
Sat here watching this on a LG G4 tv with an Asus GT-AXE16000 router running merlin firmware 👀
cant wait for the response of "we have received reports from some media outlets of some confusion that is affecting a very small number of users"
Remember that the people who work at Gamers Nexus love life...
At least we get live executions sponsored by Pepsi and Doritos
Why would a TV even have a microphone? This is some serious 1984 stuff.
Finally Steve not only looks like a hacker, but also acts like one!
So my choice to say "Why the hell would I want a mobile app to connect to my router?" is the only thing that has kept my router safe.
