With GAC pressing from one side and BYD's new RWD Seagull 2 squeezing from the other, Geely will likely bring SSBs to their EX2 very soon. Keeping the EX2 under a tonne would mean phenomenal range and handling. Exciting times ahead!

Your fluid cool presentations are so watchable. Your content is great - nonsensational. Batteries are our future and its great to watch the vids about their incremental progress.
It doesn't sound like much of an improvement in energy density, and it is more expensive to manufacture than current batteries, so what is everyone so excited about? The BYD batteries (Blade 2) seem to be doing a lot of the things these batteries are supposed to do, but are cheaper. And CATL supposedly has a similar product.
The Chinese government also certified the medical research department that Covid escaped from. Just saying.

I would say most important Solid State Battery (SSB) advantage could be not the range, not the energy density. Todays BEV already provide 400km on a highway. But if with SSB car can recharge from 10% to 100% in 15-20mins., that would be the biggest change. This would allow on a long trips to have bio break and travel again until next bio break. Without any thinking of SoC.

Contrary to what the person in the video claims, China has not truly "developed"; rather, it is a nation that has simply stolen or imitated South Korean technology. China’s electric vehicle and battery sectors are bound to suffer a severe blow before long. Furthermore, China’s current economic situation is already dire, and it is certain to deteriorate even further. For anyone in the West—or in countries like Australia or Canada—to praise China is no different than the European Union praising Russia.
