Seeing legend players like Ken Dryden and Bobby Orr active on the ice in your NHL 27 Be a Pro career is caused by accidentally starting your career with an Alumni Roster or a custom roster that has Alumni players merged into current NHL teams. When launching a brand new Be a Pro career, the game asks you which roster file you want to use. If "Default/Current Rosters" isn't strictly selected, or if you previously substituted legendary players into active franchise slots on the main menu, the game populates the active league with those historic players. Because they are rated highly, NHL teams will draft, sign, or trade for them immediately, putting them right on the ice against your Pro.
1:17 im pretty sure that guy lafleur was created on the roster you are using (because he isnt in the game for personal reasons), and so the sabres probably signed him in free agency. MAKE SURE NASHER SEES THIS
