Steak, please read this. My theory is that in the beginning when that one kid in the radio tape went in the door and steak closed him in there. I think that he might’ve turned into a mimic somehow that’s just a short theory I don’t know.

Theory: Injured Cruz is the mimic. In chapter 1, skinwalker steak was eating him, but in chapter 2, he was alive with bandages and a crutch. This doesn’t make sense of how he got home so quick even with medical attention so soon. Also, we haven’t even seen his body in chapter 2. That is my theory, and it might be true be because it does have evidence supporting it.
