My sister does the exact same thing with her dogs (as number 1 did) always pisses me off because it only takes one bad day… that size difference man. If that older dog wanted to, you wouldn’t be able to stop him from literally chewing the pup up and spitting it back out. Be fucking careful. This is a life we’re talking about. These are still animals, no matter how much you love them. Having your hand on that harness could have saved that pup from getting crippled or worse. And this is coming from someone currently in there 2nd year studying animal care. I’m far from an expert. But I don’t think I’m completely ignorant either. Of course. Dogs are as various as humans are, some might be more prone to violence than others. But especially on first meetings, being safer than sorry doesn’t hurt anyone. Being careless however, very much could.

My friend had a dog like video number one and she just introduced them and the next day that big dog ate the little dog. I’m not joking when I say that it is honestly such a horrible idea to just let the big dog meet the little dog head on without any sort of precaution because stuff like that can happen and it’s very scary and you’d have to put the other dog down and that big dog just ate the little dog crying out loud just get a Gate or something
