Canadian here. Sorry, but your Canadian buddy doesn't know what Canadian bacon is either. Also those are deer antlers in the Beavertail, not moose. 😂 For Harvey's you *have* yo order an Angus patty. Those are closer to how good their burgers were in the 80s

Bacon in Canada is just regular bacon. American pork companies use "Canadian Bacon" as branding for Peameal Bacon because it's from Toronto. I completely understand the confusion but it's your pork industry. If you want "Canadian Bacon" order "Peameal Bacon" or "Back Bacon".

Nobody in Canada calls bacon “Canadian bacon”. I’ve never seen those words on a menu. I guess it’s what we call peameal bacon or back bacon? Either way, bacon in Canada is the same is bacon in the US
