Should've done the McCrispy sandwich instead of the McChicken probably is just as bad but I feel like that's more of the kind of chicken sandwich you're going for
Thanks for the shout out, Josh! My little brother was so excited to tell me he saw you at work!
All I learned from this chicken sandwich review is that a lot of fast food managers don't make sure the fry oil is getting changed. Edit: I'll reply to all the comments about why this happens all at once. In my experience the equipment for filtering and changing is a pain to use and clean so nobody wants to filter and especially nobody wants to scrub or soak the fryer before adding the new oil which ruins the new oil faster. Also yes budget can come into it.
What I've learned is that the quality of franchises really comes down to individual stores
As an European, I am always shocked by the number of different fast food chains in America, and how similar they all look like.
OMG OMG Josh Weissman voted us the GREATEST chicken sandwich in America!! We love you too *fangirl screaming*
For the McDonalds review, I think it would have been more fair if you got the McCrispy, the McChicken is literally just there for people who are looking for something cheap and filling. The McCrispy is more of a chicken type sandwich, though it usually is pretty stringy but it would have gotten a higher rating I feel.
Was inspired to try Jollibee and was blown away. The juiciest, crispiest, most delicious fast food chicken sandwich I've ever tried.
When BK had the Ch'king sandwich....it was always worth seeking out over the other fast food chicken sandos.
I wasn’t even surprise Jolibee won, the first time I ever tried their spicy chicken burger, I was convinced it was the best chicken burger I ever had and I crave it every week I swear
I think what set jollibees chicken sandwich apart isn’t necessarily the flavor but just how well it was made and also the bun to chicken ratio was also the best in my opinion. Ive never had a dry jollibee chicken sandwich so i think tge rating was well deserved
As someone from NC it feels good to see Bojangles ranking so high up.
These guys are tough raters, but I do appreciate the consistency in the rankings. Solid list.
I would kill to watch weissman and mythical chef Josh attempt to agree in anything on a fancy fast food
The thing about Jollibee when it comes to chicken manu. They perfected it. The joice, the crunch, the flavor. Just top tier. I even ask gravy for my sandwich...
My wife just bought me both of your cookbooks for my birthday and I'm hyped. I'm currently in the process of reading through your first one, and just got through the stocks and broths section. Extremely well written and lives up to the hype. Huge thank you to my wife for buying them for me, and an equally huge thank you to you for writing them Josh.
The chemistry between Josh and Christian is incredible, so fun to watch. Also, I'm shocked about the number of fast food chains in America.
Anyone who has tried Jolibee's chicken knew they weren't the underdog. They have, by far, the best fast food chicken in the game.
I definitely think you should have requested the "spicy" version of every chicken sandwich your tried (if available). You guys definitely gave points on the restaurants that only offered spicy sandwiches. And I can't stand ANY regular crispy chicken sandwich and yet I love spicy crispy sandwiches.
You struck gold with this series Josh. Please continue
