I always thought Weber was overpriced until I realized what you’re paying for. Even temps, durability, and quality of components - Weber might seem expensive, but you’ll own one for 20 years if you take care of it. Though these other brands look flashy and offer much larger grills for less, they will literally deteriorate in no time. Save up and invest in quality (Weber).
Just saw the Weber on a 35% off sale on Amazon today for $399. Except, as noted in this video, it usually costs $399. So, the Amazon price is listed as $610 and "on sale" for $399. Which is not a sale at all. Even Weber's website says it is $449. Amazon price is not bad but very misleading. Seems this should be against the law.
15:28 why would you Give Weber 3 points for not having side burner😂
Man that right there was a high quality review. You sir have an excellent speaking voice and way of explaining the products. Very very nice. Thank you sir and camera lady.
I had a Charbroil grill for 2 years. The hot spots are annoying and only the front of the grill gets hot, the back is useless. Cleaning it was always a pain in the ass! I finally rolled the damn thing in front of my house and put a FREE note on it. In the market for a Weber now!
Curious how the Weber got a 3 on the multi function when there is no multi-function?
I've got a 200 series Weber Spirit grill which is well over ten years old. It's spent numerous winters outside in the weather, been used sometimes on a daily basis almost all summer long too. It's been a solid value. It's starting to show its age, had most items like flavor bars and burners replaced too. It still keeps on grilling reliably year after year. And with using a smoker box and good seasonings you can pull off some wonderful meals. I'm looking to replace my old rusty grill, but I keep coming back to another Weber as being the best choice. Sure, they can be heavy, but they're solid, reliable, have the best warranty for a reason, and they just reliably perform day in and day out for years on end. Like most people, I don't like to spend the money, but I less like to buy something and be disappointed in my purchase. That's least likely to happen with buying a Weber.
The Weber is a superb grill for the money! Best small gas grill we’ve ever owned!
Solid review! I give David a 10/10!
The guy that had the nasty comment is off this page. I reported him to YouTube. Thanks for the review. I'm leaning Monument in the very near future.
Love my Weber. It has outlasted every other grill I've had. Customer service also superb. Sent me free new ignitor parts even after warranty expired.
Did you mention the most important thing in my opinion…Customer Service and part availability 10 years from now.
One thing that I think needs to be considered: If you are gifted a grill like one of the 3 in this review and you have no choice in it; then you learn to cook with what you have. You learn about hot spots, and other aspects of the grill as time marches on. For my current gas grill, I have a Charbroil Commercial Performance from a few years; it has done fine over the years. I have replaced the grates with better quality, but that is it.
The Charbroil you tested is an older version. The new one I bought yesterday was also $349 at Lowes but it has the porcelain coated Iron grates. A Sear Burner and full coverage Flavor plates the other burners. I agree that the Webber is well built grill. I have a small Webber portable. I went with the Charbroil because the last one I had lasted for over five years without me replacing anything. I use my grill about 225 days out of the year. The accessories I wish they all came with are easier Rotisserie setup. and a Griddle plate that drained the excess grease out of the grill completely into a separate container. Also a smoke generator designed to work with the grill would be nice. I have bought both the iron and stainless steal boxes. Currently I just use a one cup Stainless steal measuring cup that I fill with Pecan that has been run through a chipper shredder. I would also like to see the articulating top racks that they used to put into grills. that center the top rack over the bottom grate when the lid is closed. I do not like the stationary racks they are in the way when the lid is open and they are not in a good place when the lid is closed.
Just got the Weber Spirit e-325. That's the three burner with fold down side tables of his. Using Thermoworks Signals temp set up with the probe mounted on a clip inside, I got a 60 degree higher temp on the probe than on the hood gauge. For the open back I'm getting either one of those screen repair frame kits in black, a piece of charcoal aluminum screen to put in it and a roll of velco or a 24x36 sheet of aluminum and a can of black spray paint and that roll of velcro for the back.
Great video, bud. Saved me a lot of time and I appreciate how detailed your breakdowns are.
the weber should have 0 points for not having a side burner. why was the weber awarded any points in that category ?
The burger test doesn’t make sense. The cooking grates of the three grills are all 16.5-17.0 inches deep, and the Monument and Charbroil grill grates are both wider than the Weber
This was very helpful. Thank you!
I have been looking for a grill, was leaning Monument, and now think it would be best for me. 👍
