There were so many shows like this which used to air on Travel & Living (TLC) .Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Bobby Chinn, Kylie Kwong, Andrew Zimmern, Keith Floyd, Gary Rhodes... what a lineup! That was such a golden era. I loved every bit of those shows as a kid. The rawness, the humor, the real passion for food and culture. Now I just keep wishing they’d bring them back. Nothing today quite hits the same. Miss those days.

The editing, audio design, pacing - incredible. Another absolute masterclass of TV and documentary. Very grateful to this channel for uploading and providing these episodes for posterity (I hope).

I recently saw the chanel in my recomendetions. Years back i was watching the show when i was teen and i loved it with my family. Watching this episodes now really brought a tear in my eyes and how much i missed it. Really trying to show not only the food but also the human side of everyone living on these countries. Rest in piece Anthony and also hope everyone of the filmcrew is well.

India is amazing. Been 4 times. My culinary tips: eat street food, it’s sensational! Vegetarian is a near must. Avoid salads and non bottled water (salads get washed in water thus avoid), follow the locals especially the taxi drivers as they can put you onto foods you would not otherwise discover. When going to an Indian city/town go to the market to get a handle on what is local. The people try impossibly hard to not offend so asking them their opinion may not get a clear/honest answer; watch and follow gives far more clarity.

Sure wish i brought a video camera with me in 1991, when i spent a whole month travelling around India on the trains!! Amazing experience!! only got deli beli once, by eating something from a train platform!! luckily the food on the train was safe!!

Here's a fun story : in 2015 I was backpacking India as a 23 year old... Went Hitch hiking all across the north for 2 months.. From ladakh all the way to kashmir and then bought a bus ticket to dharamkot which is a mountainous area in the south of the himalayas and it's also where dalai lama is residing. Somewhere around jammu (South of kashmir) me and my backpacking buddies were at this dead, desolate ugly looking border town waiting for our bus and suddenly a nice looking air conditioned coach arrives so we asked the driver if this is the bus thats going to dharamkot and he just nods his head so we board it and it had private AC cabins for 3 people so we were really happy.. We were smoking weed and drinking alcohol the whole trip inside the cabin... Fast forward the next day I wake up.... I look outside and all im seeing is green fields left and right and men wearing colorful turbans on the road riding scooters so I figured something is wrong here... The bus reached the destination and it said "amritsah" 😮.... No one had told us that the bus was heading there, no one even bothered to ask for our tickets.... Later that day we went looking for a place to sleep and we found an "aladdin" looking hotel and the room I slept in had a wasp nest in the top corner of it.... But I still remember fondly how amritsah's food culture was the best in all of India

I’m pretty sure you’re checking in on all of us from above Tony. We miss you eternally. You made us enthused,you made us love all types of food from all over the world and the best part you made us laugh and care all at once. I hope your beautiful daughter one day reads all the amazing comments about you,her dad, and is extremely proud. We miss you but I’ll watch all your shows a hundred times over. OMG is all I am going to say, I was watching a documentary about Antony's death and whilst watching this vlog you can understand what goes through his head! all the noise he turns in to music! Lol I have never seen anything like it, it like an a hallucination he is having each time he talks and see's people dancing Lol absoloutle masterpiece! the guy is a genius!

This film is unbelievable ! A masterclass of Anthonys journeys ! Iˋm so happy to see that and him again 👏🙏
