Hidden within Mumbai, the Mahakali Caves are more than just ancient rock-cut structures. They are fragments of memory, belief, craftsmanship, and time, still surviving quietly within the chaos of the modern city. This documentary is an attempt to understand these caves beyond tourism, through their inscriptions, carvings, chambers, monastic spaces, and the stories hidden within them. Special thanks to Pradeep Waghmare Sir and Riddhi Maโam for guiding and explaining the Mahakali Caves during the heritage course, helping shape the understanding presented in this documentary.
