Jean Pierre says NO TO WET TOWELS. It's not good for the cutting board. Just get some of that non-slip padding you might use in cupboards.

The chef I learn from says not put wet cloth under cutting board - says moisture not friend to wood of the cutting board. Instead he said use those cupboard rubber bases that you use to base your cupboards. 😊

Legit tips. From one master knife handler to another, the best advice I received decades ago was this: "Approach your board with the assumption that you *will* cut yourself. Proceed without fear and practice, practice, practice."
