You should look into the lake Tahoe power company abandoning the customers (50k)of them and told them to find a new power company because come 2027 all their power capacity will be diverted to a datacenter.

The consumers aren't buying because they have been priced out by the producers, not by anything else or for any other reason. When I heard from you guys that crucial/micron was exiting the consumer market entirely I knew it was probably the beginning of the end, at least for this era of the diy PC hobby and gaming on PC more generally.
My city approved a data center, as did the city across the river. My city council was bound by an NDA before the public was made aware of the entire proposal. They already made their decision before they held the public comment session, sitting and looking insulted they had to listen to the public. The town across the river didn't even have a public session at all; Just announced it.
People do want to build their own PCs. They just don't want to buy the necessary components at quintupled prices.
Sad to see the PC hobby industry collapse like this. I hope it can recover.
Really sad to see what's happening to the PC industry. I've followed PC gaming and tech for all my life, it's been amazing watching it grow and the sudden decline hurts like losing a good friend :'(
